Recap:: Back to School and Much More!

To kick off Back-to-School week we decided to make a family friendly competition of mini golf. It was so much fun! I baby wore Grayson and still won! Whoop Whoop. He slept the whole time! LOL. I could have done better, but, hey, a 57 is not bad at all! I miss golfing. Maybe, I’ll start that up again. Loser had to pump gas.

Tuesday was Chase’s first day back to school. I can’t believe I have a 1st grader! Where did the time go?! When I was in first grade I got head trauma the week after Easter. I missed 6 weeks of school. We had the top notch Neurologist and Pediatric Neurologist too. (Yes, I had two and one of them worked for NY Giants. So I knew I was in good hands.) A group of us were playing on my metal hammock in the backyard, and too much weight snapped the pipe. Hit my brother and sister in the arms and legs, and the S hook went rite through my head. *I am very blessed to be still sitting here today.* So we’re hoping to no Emergency Room/Hospital visits.  Knock on wood!

21369188_10213963925037166_5321799965179927420_n.jpgHe has some of his friends from his Pre-K and Kindergarten class with him this year. So being excited was an overstatement. When Chase saw his friends at school the smile on his face kept growing bigger and bigger each friend he saw. He told me to take his picture so that I can look at it and won’t miss him that much! It was adorable. I was happy that he went back to school, because he loves it and Mama, honestly, needed a break from two kids 24/7. I was also sad to see him grow even more!

On the other hand, I literally had my hands full with Grayson. He was looking for Chase all day. Refused to nap, and it was a disaster. I was a full-blown jungle gym most days. This week it’s starting to ease a little, but it’s an adjustment. Still won’t nap longer than 40 minutes, but it’s a work in progress. His best friend is not around all day, everyday, in his face, and, of course, he misses that. He loves him so much! They both do. We got very lucky!

First week went off without a hitch. Mommy even remember to use the Immune Booster Blend and Courage Blend.  Also, the Flinestone vitamin gummies. God forbid I forget those!

After school activity is Karate. Chase is getting promoted to Dragon Green Belt. That is what the red stripe on his belt represents. He has graduation this Saturday. They do a small evaluation before receiving the new belt. He’s so proud of himself, and so are we. His brother likes to use that time as nap-time. That face!

Grayson is full blown teething. We’re using Clove with a carrier oil on the gums and it seems to help. I’m also using it on my gums. During my pregnancy my gums blew up a little. You put in it on 3-4 times a day for a week or so. I already see a huge difference in gums. The inflammation is going down.

We go through bibs and clothes like it’s nothing. So much drool! I don’t remember Chase drooling this much!

Speaking of teeth- Chase has his two bottom teeth loose! Of course, picture day is on the 29th of this month. I called it last month that he’ll probably lose his first tooth the day before pictures. I wasn’t thinking two! He told me this morning that another one might be lose too.  His so excited. All his friends, except two, have lost teeth already. He was getting upset about it. Anyone know the going rate for a tooth these days?! I heard first tooth is like $20 and every tooth after is $5! When I was a kid- first tooth $5 and every tooth after $1. These kids have it made these days! Tooth fairy is going to have to make a visit soon.

Anyone else out there breast-pumping?! I’ve tried the whole attach to the boob. It wasn’t working for us, and became stressful. So we decided breast-pumping is best! Well, for the last month I have a full two ounce drop each pump. I can barely make 24-27 ounces and it’s been frustrating. I had a full-blown breakdown at 1 a.m. a few weeks ago. I made my husband, God Bless him, go out and get formula. We now give him a bottle of just formula and maybe a top off of formula in another bottle. Still mostly breast-milk during the day still. We found this works best for us. As something different might work best for someone else. As long as my son’s belly is full. I don’t care how he gets its. Chase was strictly a formula feed baby after the first 6 weeks. I dried up.

Leave a comment- I want to hear from you! How did your kids first week of school go? Do they have a fun activity after school they love? Teething or did/is the tooth fairy coming to visit? What did the tooth fairy leave behind? Breast-pumping tips? What works for you to make sure your infants tummy is full?

Back-to-School “Essentials”

essential-oils-for-back-to-school-6-700x425New York doesn’t go back to school until September, but I know other areas of the country have gone back already. I’ve done Chase’s school supply shopping, and I already dropped it off at school. Now it’s time to do his WELLNESS SHOPPING! I wanted to share some of my favorites for back to school essentials. Keep in mind kids only need a few drops of oils to see the improvement. So a little goes a long way.

School Day Immune System Support

  • 10 ml Roll-On Bottle
  • 10 drops of Thieves
  • 5 drops of Frankincense, Thymes, and Oregano
  • Fill the rest with a carrier oil (like V-6 vegetable oil from Young Living)

*Roll on the child’s spine and feet every morning.

Healthy School Time Hair

  • 2 oz Spray Bottle
  • 8 drops Lavender
  • 8 drops Rosemary
  • 8 drops Tea Tree
  • Fill the rest with Water

*I find that wet hair is the best time to spray it on or rite before school. It absorbs better.

Making New Friends

Stree Away and Valor – Rub on wrist 2 drops each or put on

a diffuser necklace or bracelet.

*Chase can make friends with a wall if he wanted too, but I know of other kids who need this booster. It works wonders. Even talking in front of a crowd it helps.

They also have an AMAZING skin care line. Men, don’t be scared. I know plenty of men who sneak the products, and LOVE the results!

Healthy Joints and Muscles

I like to layer these oils starting with a drop or two of Peppermint, then PanAway, and my “magnifier” Copaiba.

For the Athlete and Growing Support

CoolAzulPainReliefCream2

This is an exciting one! Just this year the FDA APPROVED this to be the first medicine that we can say is a pain relief. This works AMAZING WELL. It does have Wintergreen in it so if you have blood pressure issues, pregnant, or breastfeeding it is suggested not to be used.

Anyone over the age of 12 years old and over may use. It addresses all kinds of issues from pulled muscles to arthritis.

Smelly Dorm Room

  • 2 ounce spray bottle
  • 10 drops Lemon
  • 10 drops Purification
  • Fill the rest with water

After the Party

(We’ve all been there)

A few drops of Peppermint on the belly, temples, forehead, and feet. DiGize you can put a few drops in your water or over the belly.

You can find most of these oils in the Premium Starter Kit. If you would like to sign up to get started on making this the best wellness school year yet. You can do so here.
